Air Niugini commences air service to the Federated States of Micronesia

On December 4, 2016, Air Niugini began its service into the Federated States of Micronesia. The twice a week service by Air Niugini will originate in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea, on Wednesdays and Saturdays with the Wednesday flight flying into Chuuk, continuing to Pohnpei and back to Port Moresby. The Saturday flight will go from Port Moresby direct to Pohnpei and on to Chuuk before returning to Port Moresby.

Passengers to and from the FSM will be connected in Port Moresby for flights to Manila and other southeast Asia ports as well as destinations in Australia, Fiji, and other ports in the Pacific served by Air Niugini.

Air Niugini’s twice a week schedule has been designed to complement the air services provided by United Airlines and Nauru Airlines, which now serve the FSM from Honolulu, Guam, Fiji, Kiribati, Majuro, and Nauru.
